Procedures for Testing and Re-distribution Collection
  • Signed collection contract between parties.
  • Customer’s waste stream sample will be analyzed and certified prior to first collection.
  • Driver will field test for halogens through use of a hand-held halogen tester or “Clor-D-Tect”.
  • Beginning and ending tank truck levels are recorded with each collection and recorded on the manifest.
  • All collections will be manifested.
Testing and Storage
  • A representative sample is retained as the load is transferred from the collection truck to one of twelve 6,000 gallon dedicated “dry tanks”. Sample is analyzed by an outside, independent laboratory for levels the following used oil contaminants:

Other Contaminants Screened by FTIR
  • An additional retain sample is taken, isolated and kept off site for a period of three years.
  • Once the sample report details that the referenced batch is free of hazardous levels of contaminants. The entire “day tank” contents ate transferred to larger storage tanks for energy recovery.
  • Minimal off-spec product, is allowed to be blended with known on-spec product and the combination is isolated and re-tested and confirmation is made before transferring to permanent storage.
  • Customer will receive certification of laboratory test results on their invoice that will denote the date of sample, date of pick-up and amount of product collected. All invoice and manifest numbers are detailed in one simple document. Computer generated annual collection gallonage reports are available upon request.
  • Non-approved product will be documented and disposed of at a RCRA permitted facility.
